I think I gave myself diabetes making this. I find it way too adorable.
I felt like this scene should have been in the episode, just after RD takes Scoots under her wing. That night Scootaloo couldn't sleep and RD offers to keep her safe for the night.
This pleases the dream goddess, Luna.
Figured out some new tricks to help speed things up for my stuff. I'm gonna have to try them again on my next piece.
Aaaand since I am not the only one. I will say what my first thought was.
Nighttime Guardian or Pervert. You decided!
Luna - "Yes! You have now faced your fear. Well done Scootaloo. Now face your fear's face and kiss. Yes! Kiss! Then do other things. Yes! The fun is about to be doubled."
Glad to see the idea of sisterly pegacuddles wasn't an idea I pioneered <3 I too think this is probably what happened after that hug scene. Uber cuteness.
I liek dis nu diabetus. I really do wish that the showmakers would have one scene that reinforces RD's and Scoots' relationship in an unrelated episode, to cement it as continuity instead of a one-episode spiel. It's way too good to be a one-episode spiel.
They just need to show that RD and Scoots are an item. It's not hard. Maybe they could show RD and Scoots together often, implying that they hang out a lot more nowadays.
Examples, in order of ascending diabetus:
—RD walking Scoots home after school —Obvious flight training, even if not explicitly stated —Play-wrestling in Ponyville Park —RD playing with Scoots like a mother would her foal ([link]) —Sleeping next to each other in RD's house —Sleeping with RD embracing Scoots (This picture)
you know in your comment you said —RD playing with Scoots like a mother would her foal, in my novels it's just like that except there not playing, in my novels RD IS the mother of scoots
Completely agreed. I really wanna see anything like this going on. It could even just be a ten second scene, hell, something in the background would be better than nothing, even.
